Welcome to Good People Surf

With our Surf Camps and School in the beautiful Basque Beach town of Zarautz, we like to bring people together in a fun way to have an unforgettable experience.

Our main goal is to teach you all about Surf and Ocean awareness. As well as showing you the insights on the Beautiful Basque Country-side and culture.

The town of Zarautz with its beautiful surroundings where the ocean and mountains meet at just a few steps away. Also known for its’ gastronomy with the famous ‘Pintxo’s’ and cozy ‘plaza’s’ for a great social get together. Michelin star city San Sebastian is just around the corner and so are several natural reserve parks for some mountain action.

Surf School

Looking for good instruction while having a great time?
The Good People Surf School offers all levels of classes for learning to surf and for reaching the next level.
With years of experience teaching on the Basque coast we are equipped to meet your needs. Beginners to advanced, surfing longboard or shortboard.
Equipment rental is available to make sure you have the right board and wetsuit for any conditions.

Surf Camp Zarautz

Travel alone or in a group? Vegetarian or meat lover? Slashing waves or still catching white water? At our Surf Camp you will find yourself right at home from day one.

Surf & Glamping

Our new Surf & Camp will launch in July for those who are looking for a comfortable stay, less crowds and great surf.

You will stay in our Glamping tents set up on the Gran Camping Zarautz in a small and familiar setting with our Food Truck present for those cold after surf beverages.

You will find heated sanitary and you can enjoy different activities like Surf & Lessons, Stand Up Paddle, Bike Rent & Tours and great BBQ’s!

Surf House Stoke

Check out this unique accommodation in the heart of the Pagoeta Natural Park area.
At just a 10 min. drive from Zarautz you find the picturesque village of Aia, overlooking the natural park and the ocean.

The Stoke Surf House sits just outside of town on a beautiful lot and all the amenities you need for a great stay.
With daily transport to the beach, Yoga lessons, Skate ramp, great food and amazing nature around, you will have to extend your stay to be able to enjoy all.

Ocean Front Rooms

For your convenience we offer ocean front accommodation with rooms for 2 persons.
You can literally lift your head from the bed to check out the surf in the morning!

The rooms come with a private (ensuite) bathroom, TV, WI-FI, balcony and two individual beds or a king-size bed. There is a parking option and to put an extra bed in the room.

You are one step away from the beach and the famous Karlos Arguiñano restaurant with it’s ocean view terrace.

Surf Shack & Rentals

When staying on the Gran Camping Zarautz and are looking to rent surf and beach material or would like to sign up for surf lessons, you can find us at down the entrance of the campsite throughout the summer.

We have the following items for rent for half days and full days or during your entire stay. Surfboards, wetsuits, bodyboards, SUPs, skateboards, bikes and more.

For your convenience we have a drop off option at our shop in town, for when you’re done using the material and want to enjoy the town or do other activities.

Santa Cruz Portugal

Close to Lisbon between the world surf reserve spots Ericeira and Peniche, lays the picturesque village of Santa Cruz in the fantastic countryside of Torres Vedras.

The town is surrounded with several great un-crowded surf spots, even during summer. A great place for your first surf experience or catching some good waves with friends!

During your holiday you can be fully taken care of with a nice breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Surf lessons or visiting any of the other surf spots in the area. We offer Ride & Surf and organise trips to various cultural sights, apart from the nights at home with a nice cold beer.

Groups & Activities

Learn how to surf with a group of friends, as a business or school activity. We offer you a customised camp with accommodation, food and activities.

Good People is a pioneer in Surf Camps in Zarautz and can accommodate groups up to 100 persons.
